Exhibits at the Museum invite open-ended discovery, are challenging and open to people of all cultural backgrounds, take into account a diversity of learning styles, stimulate both sensory and cognitive curiosity, and are fun and safe! Their collection of exhibits rotates throughout the year. And they have a gift shop too!

There is a toddler climbing structure, climbing wall, bubbles, animals from snakes to cockroaches, and facepainting, Children can push objects along water channels, climb through mirrored tunnels, build magnet towers, play dress-up, lift themselves using pully systems, create art with recycled materials, attend workshops with local artists and scientists and much more. They have special events such as cooking classes, parenting workshops, art workshops, live performances, visiting artists, and environmental education. There is also a wonderful outdoor space; a garden with fruit trees, sculptures, a pond, musical installations, sandbox, a miniature adobe house, greenhouse, and more!

Celebrate a Birthday Party at the Museum!
Standard Birthday Party Option: Free admission to the entire museum for up to 30 people; $4 for each additional person. This includes: unlimitied use of Museum, use of the private birthday room & patio for two hours, a special party favor for each child, and a crown for the guest of honor. Discovery & Play Afterschool Club
At The Santa Fe Children’s Museum


This enriching afterschool program, for first, second and third graders, is led by Museum Environmental Educator Melanie Beck. It begins in the fall of 2010 and runs from 2:45pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Discovery & Play Afterschool Club will use all the great resources of the Children’s Museum (including the greenhouse and Eathworks exhibit space) and focus on art! creativity! environmental education! emotional intelligence! and play! The program coincides with all regular school days and will meet on snow days.

Cost is $50 per week. Monthly commitment required.
Museum members receive a 10% discount.
Program is limited to 20 participants.
Must provide own transportation.
Carpooling is encouraged.
