Dragonfly School is built around a science and nature-based curriculum, with a focus on community, creativity and ecology.

We offer child-centered, developmentally appropriate education in a loving, supportive school community located adjacent to the Santa Fe River. Our goal is to create a community of learners who are intelligent, capable, and kind. We will model and teach respectful communication and problem solving using the language of non-violent communication.

Awareness of limited natural resources and respect for the natural world is taught in part by utilizing eco-friendly supplies, minimizing use of limited resources, recycling and composting, as well as regular outdoor and science-dedicated curriculum.

Dragonfly accepts students aged 3 (toilet trained) through 4th grade with an intention to grow through 6th grade in the next three years.

The preschool schedule runs four or five-days-per-week, 8AM-3PM with aftercare until 5:15 for a separate fee. Preschool classes have a 1:6 or 1:7 teacher:student ratio, depending on age. Our oldest groups may have a 1:10 teacher:student ratio. Elementary students are offered a five-day week 8AM-3PM, with aftercare until 6PM on-site with Children's Adventure Company for a separate fee."

Dragonfly School Preschool Summer Camp
Community, Creativity, Ecology

Children are invited to explore their natural environment in the Dragonfly School garden and in and around the nearby Santa Fe River. Art and sensory activities, dramatic play, music and the ever-important social learning of preschool will be included.

Dragonfly School will offer two 5-week summer sessions in 2011 for three & four-year-olds:

SESSION ONE: June 6-July 8
SESSION TWO: July 11-August 12
4 or 5 day week, 8AM-3PM, optional extended day until 5:15
